  Martha was named after her Aunt Martha and her Aunt Nelly (both from her mother's side of the family). I asked Grandma (Martha) what it was like for her as a child. She said that back then they didn't have all the things that kids have today for entertainment. She said that they had to make their own entertainment. Martha lived in many places. When she was three she moved to Anger. Later she lived in Level Park and then Battle Creek. Martha studied to be a nurse in Detroit where she graduated from Mercy College. Martha met Otto outside of Levering when she was on vacation with her sister and Otto's oldest sister. The above information comes from an oral interview that Lejanna Bayha conducted with Martha N. Bayha in May 2003. Lejanna still has the notes from this interview in her possesion.
