Mrs. Violet F. Myers of Toledo died Tuesday, April 23, 2002, in The Lutheran Home of Toledo at the age of 99. She was born April 13, 1903, in Levering, Michigan, to Frank and Blanche (Shorter) Bayha. Mrs. Myers formerly was employed with LaSalles Department Store and was a sales clerk in the infant and children's department. Her hobbies included fishing, gardening, and her family, and she was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church.
She was married on May 25, 1920, to Myrl E. Myers, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents; son, Myrl E. Myers Jr.; sisters, Elsie Mallory, Grace Hakes, Lydia Lumpp; brothers, Leon, Lester, and Otto Bayha. Surviving is her daughter-in-law, Lois Myers; grandchildren, Terry Myers and Linda (Frank) Weaver; brother, Kenneth Bayha of Petoskey, MI; great-grandchildren, William Myers and Pv2 Cheryl Myers, (United States Army), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Foth-Dorfmeyer Mortuary, 3815 Sylvania Ave. (between Monroe St. and Talmadge Rd.), after 11 a.m. Friday with funeral services to follow at 1:30 p.m. Interment Toledo Memorial Park.
