Bayha, 91, of Petoskey, died June 2, 2007, at Bay Bluffs Medical Care Facility in Harbor Springs. Funeral services for Ken will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, at Stone Funeral Home, the Rev. David Behling will officiate and burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Ken was born Feb. 13, 1916, in Bliss Township. The son of Frank C. and Blanche (Shorter) Bayha. He graduated from Pellston High School, Argubright in Battle Creek and Stonier Graduate College of Banking, Rutgers University. In 1937 Ken married Isabel Overholt and she preceded him in death in 1983. He then married Ruth Cooper Shorter in 1985 and she died in January 2007. Ken spent his entire career in banking, five years in Battle Creek and 40 years at State Bank and Trust Company in Petoskey. He retired in 1979. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Petoskey Rotary Club, Petoskey Bay-View Country Club and Petoskey and Sarasota Elks Clubs. He was active in community and banking activities before his retirement. He loved to fish, hunt, boat, read and maintain his home. Ken is survived by his son Lonn Bayha, and daughter Arlene (Gerald) Festerling. He is also survived by five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Anyone wishing to contribute in memory of Ken may make contributions to the charity of their choice. Envelopes will be available at Stone Funeral Home where friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5."
